Naturescape Foundation

Donation Form

Lakemont Park has a deeply rooted history of being a beautiful place to spend time with family and friends. Continuing our mission to transform the new Lakemont Park into a recreation park with ample green space, we are excited to announce the opportunity for community participation. Through the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation, Lakemont Park has established the Naturescape Foundation to beautify the county owned land. Priced at various levels, donors have the ability to honor loved ones through the purchase of trees, garden areas, and park benches. Any and all funds raised through this project will be directed toward the beautification of Lakemont Park.

Lakemont Park plans to update the grounds and gardens with new trees, new benches, and by refurbishing the existing benches through this campaign. New trees with a customized plaque are $1,000. The donor can select a tree from a list of conifer, flower & shade trees. Donations of any amount can be made to the general tree program fund. This will go toward the purchase of new trees (without memorialized plaques) and the maintenance of the trees and garden areas throughout the park.

For those interested in donating a bench, a new garden bench ($750) can be purchased with customized etching in the back of the bench. These will be placed along the shoreline between the water park and the paddle boats. Throughout the park, there are existing wooden benches. As a duel beautification/recycling project, these benches are being converted to poly-wood benches ($600). These bench panels will be customizable as well, allowing one to honor their loved ones or include an inscription on a six-foot bench. These benches will be replacing existing benches – with the intention of replacing all of the wooden seats along the walking pathways.

Established as community park in 1894, Lakemont Park has been a place for families to enjoy the day in the outdoors. The park has gone through many changes, but the element of community still remains. The intention for the park now is to create memories via attractions as well as time together enjoying fresh air and sunshine.
